About AMB
Who are we?
Association of Malayalees in Barcelona , fondly known as AMB is the first Malayalee association in Barcelona. It was founded in the year 2005 as a collaborative effort of around 20 malayalees who came over to Barcelona in the early 2000. The objective, from then and to this day, has been to promote art and culture in the very cosmopolitan environment of Barcelona.
OUR MISSION
We are registered as a non profitable association. Malayalee residents of Barcelona from all walks of life are eligible to become members of this association. .
AMB is a socio-cultural organization that promotes fellowship, charity, culture & traditions of Kerala and celebrates important festivals of Kerala, not forgetting the culture and traditions of Catalunya, Spain. AMB is unique in the fact that it actively encourages and promotes the participation of the entire family in the Association´s programmes, making it a second home and an extended family for its members.
There were nearly 20 Keralites when Malayalee Association was started. As of the middle of 2023, there are 200+ Malayali peoples in Barcelona.
